Samantha CaveSamantha started riding and playing polocrosse in the same weekend.
Sam loves the game through and through and is a wonderful advocate for the sport and our club. Valor is Sam's current steed, he has strong cutting background and is tough challenger in the end zone! |
Evan PlantEvan started playing at age eight. Each year he has gone up the ranks and is now playing on his mom Lesley's section in 'A' grade. In 2017 he participated in a Canadian-American youth polocrosse exchange, going down to Florida to represent our club. Evan is looking forward to starting the 2018 season on Boomerang, his young up-and-coming Australian Stock Horse.

Erin KowalukErin got back into the sport after time off from knee surgery.
Erin can be found supporting Chad and Kiara at polocrosse events throughout the season, helping out by umpiring and taking hundreds of fantastic pictures. She gets back in the game now and then but is mostly a club and player supporter. |
"Irish" Emma McGeoughEmma is from Ireland, where she played the sport in University. Emma travels across provinces just to play with Polocrosse Calgary and we love having her!
|
Kiara has had several great seasons and has won "The Most Improved Player" award twice in 3 years. With the help of her steed "Desi", Kiara continues to grow in the sport she loves, and will be a force to be reckoned with in the coming years.

Brianne started playing polocrosse in 2016 with Murphy, her long-time chestnut steed. Having done a little of every discipline, it seemed only natural to give polocrosse a shot as well, and it quickly stuck. In 2018, Brianne looks forward to more time in the saddle and to play her green horse, Maddie.

After watching his wife Brianne start playing polocrosse last year, Richard decided to give riding and polocrosse a try in 2017. Still learning the reins and rules, he's keen to play and shows some good racquet skills. Richard looks forward to continuing to improve his game and spend more time playing!

Kass Unruh
Kass is the newest member of the club. Having been introduced to polocrosse at a beginners clinic in March 2017, she jumped right in to full time playing with her young mare, Mira. Kass has been an avid and enthusiastic player and promoter of polocrosse from day one, and looks forward to furthering her skills as she and her young horse learn and grow together in the sport.
